Outline:
Blair Desjardins and Henry Schein Service Technicians will be presenting a comprehensive and hands-on workshop on dental office maintenance. We will start off with a presentation touching on all points of interest and tips and tricks on equipment maintenance. Then we will move into smaller breakout groups where guests will get hands-on experience with actual dental equipment and how to troubleshoot and maintain it. This is a fantastic opportunity to spend time with top level technicians and get insider information on troubleshooting as well as emergency situations that can slow down or stop a practice from running. Ideal for all office staff that has any role of maintaining and running a dental practice.
Demonstrations on the following:
- Adec or Pelton chair
- M11 sterilizer
- Statim sterilizer
- Cavitron
- How to change turbines on a few NSK high speed hand pieces
With the knowledge and hands-on experience gained in this continuing dental education course, you will be able to:

About The Speakers
Mr. Blair Desjardins, Henry Schein Service Technician, has over 13 years’ experience in the dental field as a Dental Technician. He is required to do all things necessary to keep his territory alive and well from high-tech work like X-Ray equipment and milling machines all the way to compressors and vacuums. Blair also teaches at offices as well as taking the lead at the Pacific Dental Conference, ODA, TODS and Kelowna Dental college in our Maintenance Classes.
Mr. Travis Schwingboth, Service Manager, Henry Schein for BC with over 12 years of experience in the dental service industry. Starting his career as a service technician and progressing through installation management before becoming Service Manager, he brings extensive industry knowledge and a passion for supporting dental professionals and their teams.
