Using cases drawn from Prosperident’s extensive files as teaching tools, David provides his audience with an inside look at dental practice embezzlement that is not available anywhere else. His deep understanding of the criminal mindset allows him to take his audience inside the thought process and behavior of embezzlers, and he will dispel many of the persistent misconceptions on this topic. Audiences will acquire the ability to recognize the warning signs of theft, and will leave with concrete action steps that will radically lower their risk of being victimized.

About The Speakers
Dr. Robert Wolanski -is a highly regarded Dentist based in Nanaimo who also holds a degree in Microbiology. He has advanced training in implant dentistry and is Director of the Vancouver Island Implant Centre. Dr. Wolanski is President of the BCDA and Chair of their Dentist Wellness Program. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists with Mastership status. His impact on the dental community in Nanaimo and beyond is widely recognized.
Mr. David Harris may have the coolest job in dentistry – he gets to chase, and catch, those who steal from dentists. A rule-breaker in his youth, David changed his direction and has spent much of his adult life in the world of investigation and enforcement, where he uses his unrivaled ability to understand the criminal thought process to help educate and protect dentists. David is the Chief Executive Officer of Prosperident, the world’s largest firm investigating financial crimes committed against dentists.
David is a licensed private investigator, a Forensic Certified Public Accountant, and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is the author of the book Dental Embezzlement: The Art of Theft and the Science of Control and over 30 articles in dental publications.
In addition to being a prolific author, David is a frequent presenter at regional, national, and international dental conferences, and his vast wealth of experience, coupled with his keen sense of humor, makes David both an engaging and entertaining speaker. In recognition of his long and distinguished service to the dental profession, David is one of a handful of non-clinicians to be honored with a Fellowship in the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics.
