Head and neck cancers are on the rise in Canadian populations, and many patients are living longer after their diagnosis and treatments. Learn how you can best support your patients with oral health therapies that will help with acute side effects as well as long-term complications.

About The Speaker
Lucy Pavao, BSc, RDH started working in a dental office when she was 16 years old and has over 30 years of dental industry experience. With a diverse clinical background in general, periodontal, prosthodontic, and sedation dentistry, Lucy has also taught in dental hygiene programs. Her industry experience extends from dental sales, education, training programs, and clinical development management.
Lucy has been both a Non-Council and elected Council member of a provincial dental hygiene regulatory college and has volunteered for over 10 years with dental hygiene component societies as part of their Executive Committees. She has recently joined the Board of Directors of the Sjögren’s Society of Canada.
A published author, Lucy’s passion is prevention and education. She is the 2nd Canadian to be a Certified iTOP Teacher. A lifelong learner, Lucy completed her degree in Oral Health Promotion in 2020 and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree. She is a self-described dental hygiene nerd and believes in fostering community in the oral healthcare industry.
