This comprehensive presentation will explore the principles of guided bone regeneration as used in implant dentistry. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the biological foundation behind bone augmentation techniques, digital treatment planning, the current available materials used in ridge augmentation procedures, and practical clinical applications necessary to achieve predictable outcomes. Through clinical case examples various techniques for augmenting bone defects will be showcased with the goal of enhancing esthetics and optimizing implant site development for long-term functional and esthetic success.

About The Speaker
Dr. Naheed Mohamed is a Canadian Board-Certified Periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Mohamed began his training at the University of Toronto where he received his Honorary Bachelor of Science Degree. He then went on to pursue dentistry at the prestigious Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mohamed went on further to specialize in Periodontics and Implant Surgery, completing his residency at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals in Cleveland where he also obtained a master’s degree in Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Mohamed has particular interests in minimally invasive approaches to surgery. He is an expert in dental implant and related site development surgery through bone augmentation and reconstruction. Dr Mohamed lectures both locally and internationally and is a Key Opinion Leader for Straumann, Nobel Biocare, and Botiss Biomaterials. He has published several articles on surgery and has co-authored chapters in Surgical Textbooks. He is also a Surgical Educator for Phelan Dental Seminars and Founder of the Perio6 Institute.
