Workshop – Dr. Tassos Irinakis

“Introduction to the world of Immediate Implant Placement and Loading”

A step-by-step approach to Immediate Implant Placement & Loading with or without a Computer Generated Workflow.

Saturday October 26, 2018 – 8:30am to 12:30pm 

Fee:  $149 early | $199 regular | $249 onsite

 

This Hands-On session will start with a Presentation and continue with a Surgical Workshop.

 

The Oral Presentation will focus on a variety of topics:

  • Cone Beam CT Scan reading of suitable cases
  • Atraumatic extractions for immediate implant placement in fresh extraction sockets of single rooted and multi-rooted teeth
  • Bone grafting and Soft tissue enhancement
  • The importance of primary stability and the role of implant design in achieving it
  • Evidence based Immediate Loading of single sites and full arches
  • The evolution of the digital workflow and computer generated guides

 

The Workshop will allow participants to:

  • Acquire hands-on experience in an enhanced implant design (Straumann BLX), ideal for immediate placement in fresh extraction sockets and immediate loading on simulation models
  • Place implants via means of a computer generated surgical guide (fully guided) & Placement of a provisional screw retained crown
  • Understand how the digital workflow allows for immediate provisionalization of implants from the intra-oral scanning to the delivery of the immediate provisional

 

This workshop is open to dentists only Attendance at Friday afternoon lecture is mandatory to participate.

Biography

Dr. Tassos Irinakis is a Certified Specialist in Periodontics and one of the current leaders in comprehensive Implant Patient Care & Implant Education for Dental Professionals.  He serves the community in various positions, such as his private practice specializing in Implant & Periodontal care in Vancouver (BC),  Kamloops (BC), Campbell River (BC) and his affiliation with Vancouver General Hospital.

He is the Director of Graduate Periodontics & Implant Surgery at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and serves the Division of Periodontics as a Clinical Associate Professor.

He is an International Faculty member of the prestigious “PAADI” Dental Institute in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Prince AbdulRahman Advance Dental Institute) , where he teaches graduate residents and also treats VIP patients of the Kingdom.

He is the Founder & Director of I.D.E.A.S. Institute for Dental Education & Advanced SurgeriesIDEAS Inc. which is dedicated to teaching dental professionals all aspects of Implant Dentistry, Bone Grafting and Periodontal Surgery as well offers ongoing mentoring through the Vancouver Implant Study Club

He is the Founder & Director of the exclusive multi-disciplinary “Vancouver Study Club”, which is the Vancouver Chapter of the world renowned SEATTLE STUDY CLUB

Dr. Irinakis has been honored twice by the American Academy of Periodontology with the “2005 Educator Award” for Outstanding Mentoring & Teaching in Periodontics and most recently the “2010 Educator Award” for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring in the Field of Periodontics.

He serves the Academy as a Reviewer for the prestigious Journal of Periodontologyand is a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Implant & Advanced Clinical Dentistry. He is also a Reviewer for the Oral Surgery Journal.
In addition, Dr. Irinakis has published several articles in peer reviewed journals on Implants and Bone Grafting.

Dr. Tassos Irinakis lectures actively in study clubs, conferences & hands-on courses for dental professionals nationally and internationally.
