Everyday people die while waiting on the transplant list as the need for organs far exceeds organs available for live-saving transplantation.

This course diffuses myths surrounding organ donation and identifies oral implications common in pre and post transplant patients due to co-morbid conditions, immunosuppression, and medication side effects. Identify Dentistry’s role in helping transplant patients sustain optimal outcomes; and be inspired from stories of real lives saved!

Learning Outcomes:

  • Dispel myths and identify facts surrounding organ donation
  • Identify what oral conditions are common to transplant patients
  • Appraise products and protocols beneficial in managing diverse oral complications
