Dr. Mike Racich

In today’s ever changing dental world it can be challenging for dental practitioners to keep up with all the current trends in restorative dental and prosthodontic materials, techniques and efficacy. Furthermore, dental practitioners have to blend these with accepted time honoured principles and methods whether this involves a single tooth or a full mouth restorative-prosthodontic approach. Practitioners must also possess the skills to adequately provide such services or be a willing quarterback. This evidence-based presentation will provide an outline and overview of the above and offer up a contemporary day to day approach to restorative dental and prosthodontic care.

Learning objectives:

  1. evidence-based care (why, what, how)
  2. medical dental model of care
  3. patient management
  4. esthetic vs cosmetic dentistry
  5. facially generated treatment planning
  6. occlusion: what it is and is not
  7. restorative dental & prosthodontic strategies
  8. implant fundamentals
  9. orofacial pain/TMD considerations

Dr. Michael Racich, a 1982 graduate from University of British Columbia, has a general dental practice emphasizing comprehensive restorative dentistry, prosthodontics and TMD/ orofacial pain.
