The Summer Student program provides incoming fourth-year dental students with an opportunity to be part of the day-to-day operation of a dental practice and it is open to students who have successfully completed their third year of DMD studies.

Continuing Education Credit Information

It is the responsibility of each individual to submit their own report to their provincial authority.

 

British Columbia Registered

Dentists or Certified Dental Assistants

CE credits may be accrued as follows:

1. Hour-for hour credit, to a maximum of 5 hours, for general attendance at the conference/exhibits

AND

2. Hour-for hour credit, based on individual session attendance.

NEW AS OF 2012!  All BC registered dentists and registered certified dental assistants can submit their TODS continuing education credits online by visiting the CDSBC website at www.cdsbc.org.   You may still submit a paper copy by printing off an individual continuing education form and submitting it via facsimile or mail directly to the CDSBC. Indiviudal submission forms for dentists and CDAs are available online at www.cdsbc.org and a very limited number of copies will available at the CDSBC exhibit display Friday October 25, 2013.  Four choices to submit credits: delegates can submit credits through the CDSBC website, or can email completed CE forms to ce@cdsbc.org, mail them to CDSBC, or fax them to 604-736-3843 or toll-free 1-866-734-9448.

Note: You must attend the conference to be able to receive credits.

The CDSBC also reminds dentists and certified dental assistants to be aware of limits allowed for certain subjects. Please refer directly to the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia’s website at www.cdsbc.org for complete information. 

 

For Registered Dental Hygienists licensed in BC

The College of Dental Hygienists of British Columbia requests that hygienists add the Thompson Okanagan Dental Meeting information onto your yearly reporting form. The Thompson Okanagan Dental Society will not be responsible for submitting Continuing Education Credits on behalf of any registrant.

 

Out of Province Registrants

Out-of-BC registrants should consult with their provincial or state regulatory authorities for CE credit requirements.
